Circular.NiederRhein is a regional project in the Lower Rhine area with one goal: making construction materials genuinely circular. Its launch event brought practitioners and researchers together for keynotes and discussions on what actually gets in the way of circular construction, with concrete case studies alongside input from research and technology. Speakers included Prof. Dr. Alexander Malkwitz (University of Duisburg-Essen) and Thorsten Pollok (Harden Industriebau GmbH).
Lars Hofferbert from AI Superior was invited to a panel on recent AI developments. He was joined by Lasse Manns (Holcim Germany), Frank Tielkes (HDB Recycling GmbH) and Prof. Dr. Mona Wappler (Rhine-Waal University), with Dr. Tanja Busse moderating.
The conversations showed how many people in the region are already working on this problem, and how much a project like Circular.NiederRhein gains simply by putting them in the same room. Thank you to Christopher Olvis of Duisburg Business & Innovation GmbH for the invitation.
