Have you worked with NGOs before?
Yes. With the international humanitarian NGO World Vision we investigated the relationship between land degradation and conflict prevalence, and we built a specialised AI chatbot for Stiftung GOLDKIND, a foundation supporting children and young adults.
What did the World Vision project deliver?
We analysed yearly vegetation index (NDVI) values since 1981 alongside historical conflict records for selected countries. The analysis showed a negative correlation between land degradation and conflict, and a classifier predicting conflict occurrence in the following six months reached 74% accuracy.
How do you handle sensitive data?
We prioritise compliance with data protection regulations and handle sensitive data with care to protect the privacy and security of all information entrusted to us. Where needed, solutions can run on a custom model rather than third-party LLM services, for greater control over data.
How do you avoid bias in AI models?
Fairness, equal opportunity and unbiased algorithms are part of our design criteria. We build models to be transparent, explainable and accountable, so decisions can be understood and checked.
